Entstehungszeit: 1917

Beschreibung: Außergewöhnliche Standuhr. Meisterhafte Schnitzarbeit im typisch österreichischem Jugendstil. Signiert mit LOIDL. Von diesem österreichischen Bildhauer gibt es ähnliche Arbeiten (z.B. einen Schneckenreiter – allerdings In Keramik ausgeführt). Auch die Uhr ist signiert: der Uhrmacher war Georg Huber (oder Hubner) aus Salzburg. Die Uhr ist mit 1. April 1917 datiert. Technisch sehr interessant: im unteren Teil ist ein Walzenspielwerk eingebaut; zusätzlich ist die Uhr beleuchtet – im Sockel befindet sich ein (mit Zinn ausgegossenes) Batteriefach – beleuchtet wird das Ziffernblatt mittels einer darunter liegenden Glühbirne. Das Uhrwerk läuft – Aufziehschlüssel ist nicht vorhanden. Die Mechanik funktioniert – allerdings muss die Uhr technisch überholt werden (Walzenspielwerk und Beleuchtung mit dem Uhrwerk koppeln). Der oben stehende Putto wurde mal bei den Beinen geklebt.
Insgesamt ein tolles Teil, das mit geringem Aufwand wieder voll instand gesetzt werden kann.

Unusual clock. Masterful carving in typical Austrian Art Nouveau. Signed with LOIDL. From this Austrian sculptor there are similar work (eg a “Schneckenreiter” – but in ceramics executed). Also, the clock is signed: the watchmaker was George Huber (or Hubner) from Salzburg. The clock is dated  1. April 1917. The dial is illuminated by a light bulb underneath – in addition, the clock is lit – the base is a (poured forth with tin) Battery compartment in the lower portion a rolling musical movement is fitted: technically very interesting. The movement is working – key for Wind-up is not available. The mechanism works – but the clock must be technically serviced (roll play work and lighting coupled with the clockwork). The above cherub was repaired (glued) in the legs.
Overall, a great part of which can be set with little effort once again fully repaired.
